On a boundary of XIX and the XX-th centuries there was a turn of photography to facts of life, to genre. Founders of a world genre photo were three photographers: Maxim Dmitryev from Russia, Alfred Stiglits from the USA and Ezhen Atzhe from France. The genre photo is exact and truthful. Having got into reality, it takes truth at level of representations of the epoch. The exhibition of a modern city genre photo of Elena Blednykh in the project devoted to a photo of a boundary XIX and the XX-th centuries, is of a special interest. Elena got photos in different cities of the world (Paris, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Montreux, etc.). It is “a direct” photo with the psychological underlying reason, reflecting moods, experiences, mutual relations of people. Pictures contain thoughts and signs on the phenomena of life. These are visual fragments of the life, calling to look narrowly – in details you can open some eternal secret. In the author’s works there is an accuracy of observation and truth of the caught instant, the humanistic beginning and kind smile.
