Alexander Pilko was born in Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk. He served in the Army. He graduated from the department of «Design» of the Leningrad State Art and Industry College named after Vera Muhina in 1979. He was engaged in graphics, graphic design, posters, jewelry plastic art, wood painting, monumental paintings, book illustrations… In the early 90′s he started painting and went «freewheeling». Alexander is a member of the Union of Russian Artists since 2000. In 2006, he met with the poet and gallery owner Naum Olev.
